The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft

Upgrades are a brand new type of item that can provide a boost to your stats. They can be used to upgrade your armor, trinkets and weapons.

To determine probabilities, item upgrades are based on "upgrade pity". This system is designed to reduce the risk of losing money and offer a safety net when you upgrade.

Armor

Upgrade your gear to increase your damage, your survival and your overall power. If you have Benthic equipment that you acquired through the War Within Mythic Dungeon it will be at ilvl 385 and can be upgraded by using [Prismatic Manapearlsor [Prismatic manapearls]. Upgrades to your PvE gear are account-wide, however upgrades for PvP gear require a specific currency, such as [Valorstones] or [Harbinger Crestsor [Harbinger Crests]. The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade additional pieces of gear within the same armor slot is reduced after the first upgrade of that equipment.

Weapons
